Xbox 360 Red to Green

According to some sources, around one third of all Xbox 360 consoles will be affected by the 3 red lights error at some point. Today you are going to learn why it occurs, as well as how you can turn your Xbox 360 back to green and get gaming again in as short of a time as possible.

The main cause of the blinking light problem is that of overheating. A lot of excess heat is produced by components such as the processor and graphics card. The cooling system on the Xbox 360 is not particularly advanced, and therefore too much heat can build up in too small of an area, and far too quickly. This then turns the green lights to red as the console is forced to shut itself down to prevent damage, as well as display a warning that something quite major has gone wrong.

One way that you could get back to gaming and step all over the red lights error is to purchase a new console. However, this is a very expensive way to get around the problem, and for most gamers this would be completely out of reach. Another thing you could do is send your Xbox 360 back to Microsoft to have it repaired. Provided you don't mind waiting weeks, or possibly even months, as well as possibly having to pay $140 if your warranty has expired, this is a great way to go.

In case the sarcasm of those last few sentences didn't get through, what I am trying to say is that the only way you will ever see green lights on your Xbox 360 instead of red ones is to repair your console yourself. To do this you need to use an Xbox 360 repair guide, which is a collection of videos and written instructions that will show you how to determine the exact fault inside your console, then how to repair it and get rid of those dreaded lights in a safe, efficient and reliable manner. Here's the only bad news- you will need to spend around $30 on your repair guide, which is slightly irritating, but still worth it so that you can be gaming again as quickly and as cheaply as possible. You won't even need any flashy tools; you can find what you need around the home or in the garage. Here's a final word- it's really not worth trying to fix the red ring error yourself without using a repair guide as you will risk personal injury, as well as damage to other people and your property. Getting the green lights back on the front of your console is not that hard to do when you have the right instructions!

(AP Photo/Nasser Nasser)AP - A pair of 4,300-year-old pharaonic tombs discovered at Saqqara indicate that the sprawling necropolis south of Cairo is even larger than previously thought, Egypt's top archaeologist said Monday. The rock-cut tombs were built for high officials - one responsible for the quarries used to build the nearby pyramids and another for a woman in charge of procuring entertainers for the pharaohs.
