Finally the villain characters of Wario, Bowser, and Donkey Kong. They have the slowest acceleration in the game but have the highest top speed for straight aways. They are looked at as the more advanced characters and take more practice.
There are currently two versions of Mario Kart 64. One for the Nintendo 64 and one for the Nintendo Wii. The Nintendo Wii version is much faster than the 64 version. The speed in the Wii version is comparable to having a star all the time in the 64 version on 150cc.
If Nintendo ever releases an online version of Mario Kart 64 to compete in live races. It would feature a computer taking your spot if you get disconnected and have eight person matches. Ratings would also be applied. This was thought of because of the popularity of Mario Kart 64 and other popular multi player Nintendo 64 games like Goldeneye, Smash Bros. 64, and Mario Party games.
Mario Kart Wii will be featured online but not Mario Kart 64 unless Wii Shop features N64 multi-player titles online. Then for those of you who this inspired to play Mario Kart 64 have fun in reviving the Nintendo 64 classic title.
